4-Feb Exodus 21-22 John 1-2 Psalms 21-25 Proverbs 4

John 1:3-4, 10-13 (NIV) 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of men. 10 He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. 11 He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12 Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God-- 13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God.

It's an amazing thing that God's Son could come to those He created, and whom He literally owns, and they would not recognize him.  Is it possible to stand in a subway and stand next to your father, and not recognize him?  Is it possible to live next door to your creator, and never figure out that He is your father?  Yet, this is the plight of the world's darkness.  We are all born into sin and darkness, and this darkness cannot comprehend, recognize, or understand the light.  Just as I can shine a flashlight into a dark room, the room will be thankful for the light, but the DARKNESS will not comprehend it.  The darkness just moves out of the way.  Light always invades darkness. Light always wins, rules, has dominion, and has pre-eminence. Yet darkness cannot, nor will not, ever come into the light.  

Darkness dissipates and flees at the presence of light.  God set it this way in the first days of creation.  He created both night and day, and separated them both for multiple reasons.  Night time will NEVER become day time, nor will the two ever merge and become one.  It is not like this in Heaven, where the glorious light shines in an eternal fashion. But for the 3rd dimension planet earth, the light and darkness have been created as polar opposites.

Certain things live in darkness, and certain things live in light.  Just as fish don't live on land and humans don't live in water, so creatures of darkness cannot come into the light.  We were all creatures of darkness until the light invaded our lives.  Our BORN AGAIN experience brought us from the kingdom and world of darkness, now born into the eternal kingdom and world of light.  We are no longer creatures of darkness, and we no longer reside with the fallen, the sinner, the devil, demons, fallen angels, and principalities of darkness.  We now reside and live with our Heavenly Father God, His dear Son, the Holy Spirit, the host of angelic entities, and the cloud of witnesses that have gone before us.  Our lives are hidden with Christ in God, and we now have direct access to His plan, His power, and His tools to bring His kingdom of light into the dark world.  Will we be understood? No.  Will we pierce darkness and drive it back so that people can come into the light? YES!

COMPASS GUIDE is a tool that will help a born again believer to get divine instruction from the kingdom of light which we've been born into.  It amazes me that so many people who have become born again do NOT ever live in the kingdom of light, but they hang out in darkness and live like the devil.  While the kingdom of darkness will allow a light filled person to live in this dimension, darkness will never understand a born again believer who tries to adapt to darkness.

If the Israelite slaves went back to Egypt to live after all that God had done to release them from Pharaoh's grip, would Egypt openly invite them in, give them a high five, and welcome them back with open arms? No.  They would allow them to live there, but would soon try to bring them back into old world slavery, and back to their old habits, work patterns, etc.  Darkness would not comprehend or understand their return.  But darkness would benefit from it because they would become enslaved again - as is the nature of darkness.

You have been called into light, and you can live in the light.  However you and I will NEVER experience or benefit from the kingdom of light unless we access it, receive from it, listen to it, and WALK IN THE LIGHT.  How do we walk in the light as He is in the light?

READ THE WORD OF GOD DAILY.  Let the light penetrate, speak, and live in your eyes, soul, and heart each day.  This living word will have a huge impact on your life, and will train you in the ways, thoughts, plans, and actions of God (your Father).

PRAY AND INTERACT WITH THE KINGDOM OF LIGHT DAILY:  Prayer is two way communication.  Talk to God. Ask Him questions.  Get His input and wisdom in every area of life.  Listen to His answer, which may come through reading His word, or through an inside voice called the Holy Spirit.

WALK IT OUT:  Walk what you learn.  Speak what you hear.  Become a RE-PRESENT-ATIVE of the Kingdom of God on the earth.  RE-PRESENT him to the world of darkness.  Though darkness will not comprehend you or your represented word, life, deeds, and actions, people will see the light and come to it.  As you push darkness back, people will come running to the light!

Isaiah 9:2 (NIV) 2 The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned.

Walking out your 25 word vision statement will bring glory to God, light to those living in darkness, and salvation to those who SEE A GREAT LIGHT!  People everywhere are looking for direction, for acceptance, for light, and for their Father.  Your walk and speech will bring the light that they need to come to Jesus.  Are you prepared with what to do when people start coming to your light in search for God?
