Thank you all for your kind birthday wishes.  What a blessing it is to serve God and live during this wonderful period of time together with you!  God bless you.  - Dr. Daniel

19-Feb Leviticus 13-14 Acts 9-10 Psalms 96-100 Proverbs 19

Lev 13:50-52 (NIV) 50 The priest is to examine the mildew and isolate the affected article for seven days. 51 On the seventh day he is to examine it, and if the mildew has spread in the clothing, or the woven or knitted material, or the leather, whatever its use, it is a destructive mildew; the article is unclean. 52 He must burn up the clothing, or the woven or knitted material of wool or linen, or any leather article that has the contamination in it, because the mildew is destructive; the article must be burned up.

The Lord gave commands about mold and mildew in the Old Testament. If an item of clothing had a trace of mildew, the individual who owned it became unclean and the person and clothing had to go through a cleansing process. After seven days, if the mildew had continued to spread, the item had to be completely burned with fire.

Mold and mildew are horrible little spores that love to grow in a moist, humid, non moving, dark place. They can't grow in the light or places with alot of movement. If mold or mildew get on a piece of clothing, undoubtedly the climate is right and the clothing is sitting in a dark closet being unused. If allowed to grow, the object will be ruined as these vicious little spores take over and embed themselves into the fabric of that object.

How many of our hearts, lives, and churches are infested with spiritual mold and mildew? When the climate changes to a dark, moist, non moving environment, then vicious little spores begin to appear in our lives, hearts, and relationships. Issues of darkness and the world begin to overtake us. These spiritual spores become vicious and ruthless. Moms and dads will try to clean up their family. Pastors and church leaders will aggressively try to scrub, clean and get the spores out of the area. Teens will attempt to get rid of bad relationships, or stay away from certain people. But Leviticus tells us that after a SHORT TIME, if that mold/mildew is still growing, then the whole thing needs to be consumed with fire.

The fact is that it's the environment and climate that's allowing these things to grow. The climate is dark and there is no air or wind moving. While trying to scrub the spores out of your situation, a person could also sit their own life, family, church, relationships right out in the spiritual sunlight and the wind of the Spirit. That will kill the spores instantly and the only scrubbing you will need to do is to remove the dead spores and attempt to renew and restore the covering that they had embedded into.

How do I deal with my spiritual mold? LIGHT and MOVEMENT!

COMPASS GUIDE will keep your nose in the Word of God every day, reading 2 old testament chapters, 2 new testament, 1 proverb and 5 psalms. You will be continually hit with extreme light from the Word of God. This light is heavenly, it's living, sharp, active, and it simply destroys the kingdom of darkness. Any vicious spiritual mold/mildew spores that are running around and embedding themselves in your life. Reading the Word of God every day is very important to the success and growth of any living thing under God's care.

COMPASS GUIDE also pulls out of you, a 25 Word Core Vision Statement that puts you on track, setting goals, and getting you to MOVE into your purpose and plans.

LIGHT and MOVEMENT. Promote these two things into any area that you see spiritual mold/mildew growing, or any relationship that's not prospering in Christ. If your church is getting stuffy, dark, non moving, it's time to do a spiritual house cleaning and get every person in the church reading the Word of God every day, setting goals, and making movements to fulfill their purpose in Christ. Light and movement are the key to NEVER being moldy or stuffy in this world.
