Proverbs 22:6 Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.


I am learning more than ever that God is requiring His people to separate from anything that is considered "THE WORLD" and draw near to His kingdom.  This includes everything under our care, including our children.  While discussing with my wife this morning, she said, "You know, when I was a child, I could ride my bike a mile from my house with no worries.  But my kids can't do that today."  She then said, "When we were kids, you could still raise a Christian kid in a public school, but these days, you can't hardly raise a Christian kid in a Christian school."  YIKES!  That statement rings true to me because we've seen so many great kids who are a part of great Christian families, and they've been overcome by the tsunami of worldliness, sin, and darkness which has hit them like a flood!  When a tsunami hits a house, it comes in every crack, nook, and cranny.  It breaks down the doors, crashes through the windows, and totally floods the house.  In the same way, the SPIRIT OF LAWLESSNESS has overtaken this generation like a tsunami flood!

We could point fingers and try to figure out how this happened or why.  There's enough blame to go around to all of us.  However, we all know that a tsunami forms when an earthquake in the ocean shifts the tectonic plates and forces a wall of water towards land.  We have had some major world events in the "sea of humanity" that have rocked the foundations of mankind over the past generation and these tsunami waves are now crashing into our children's lives.  I can't mention them all, but some include removal of God from our educational system, courts, and nation as a whole, and sacrificing of babies to the fires of Molech on demand, called "abortion" of God's life.  These anti-life, anti-Christ movements are now coming to a celebratory 40 years of existence. (Abortion January 22, 2013 - 40 years Roe v Wade).  There are many more tectonic shifts that are causing tsunami waves upon our children and an entire generation, and these waves are spiritual in nature.  They are swamping the ethics, principles and morals of Hollywood, artists, writers, historians, politicians, judges, teachers, educators, heroes, stars, atheletes, bankers & businessmen.  These waves are devastating the godly, spiritual house that has been built in America and other nations of the world, and sweeping the inhabitants out to the sea to drown and die from exposure and lack of "drinkable water".

If you are a person who has children in this day and age, you know exactly what I am talking about, and you know that this is true.  If you are still a teen or young adult, you must understand that you are living in a generation that is being lost at sea (the sea of worldly humanity).  Just like the horrible Malaysian/Thailand tsunami that swept 300,000 people out to a watery grave, this is exactly what's happening to our generation today.  But how can we counter this?

Isaiah 59:19-20 (KJV)19 . . . When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him. 20 And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the Lord.

The STANDARD that the Lord shall lift up is YOU AND I.  We cannot relinquish this standard bearing to the Lord and throw it upon Him.  So may say, "Well, the Lord has it all under control!".  I personally contend that God does NOT have it under control, because He gave the control to His STANDARD BEARERS and told us to stop this flood from destroying His earth.  God has put us in His garden and given us management responsibilities over it.  He HAS lifted up a standard, and you and I are that standard!

While this is a deep subject, I just want to address one aspect for the saving our our families and our children, so that they can be strong to help deliver and save their own generation who's being swept out to sea.

Proverbs 22:6 Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.


TRAIN a child.  Train does not mean teach.  It doesn't mean to hand the child off to teachers or educators.  It doesn't mean to have someone else do it for us.  It means that the training must come from MOTHER and FATHER or whatever symbol of Godly authority resides in the home (some families have a one parent home with God being the other parent, as in the case of widows and orphans).  TRAIN means to walk with that child and do it with them, walk it out with them, and show them how it's done by doing it in front of them.  When we teach children, they are not guaranteed to learn it, or to hold on to it.  But when that child's AUTHORITY trains them by walking it out with them, they WILL NOT depart from it, even though they grow old and have plenty of opportunities to do otherwise.  So there is a vast difference between TEACHING and TRAINING.

I was taught how to fly an airplane.  But I couldn't fly an airplane.  When my mentor put me in the seat though, and took my teaching and then TRAINED me to fly that airplane, then I could fly an airplane.  It was the training that activated my teaching education and made it real.  It solidified it forever in my life and I will never turn from my training.

Most of us remember the time that we rode a bike for the first time, two wheels, balancing, heading down the sidewalk, the path, the trail, or on the street.  There was more than likely someone who was there to hold that bike up for you the first time until you were TRAINED.

While we don't remember it, there was more than likely someone there to hold our hands when we took our first baby steps and began to walk.  We were not taught to walk. We were trained! And we practiced, and practiced until we started running across that floor on our own rather than crawling.  I remember watching my son, who for awhile - would rather crawl because he could really move fast in that mode.  I would try to get him to stand up and take steps holding my fingers for balance. But he would drop to his hands and knees and take off across the floor faster than he could ever walk.  He liked to move fast.  But with continued training, he finally got interested in the new idea of balance and walking rather than crawling.  Now of course, I can't catch him when it's time to race and the kid runs like a gazelle.  He did it because he was TRAINED to do it.  And he will never depart or go back to crawling.

In the same way, I believe that we as parents who are followers of Christ must make some radical decisions during this time period that we're in.  Times are different than when we were small.  We are in the middle of a spiritual tsunami title wave of hell, death, and destruction which is dragging an entire generation straight out to the sea of humanity, toppling entire households, and destroying the family through sheer power and might.  It's time to SET A STANDARD and start that standard with our own children.  But how?

Unfortunately, a very dangerous socialist, communist system of life was introduced into America and many nations of the world decades ago. Through a series of removing God from schools, and turning our children's education over to a centralized, federal "department of education" , we handed the responsibility of educating and training our children over to an element that was certainly not friendly towards God or His purposes for America and other nations.  As a result, we have now raised up a godless society of teachers, teacher unions, a very godless department of education, and the godlessness of our generational society is infiltrating into all segments of life including judges, businesses, schools, colleges, politicians, etc.  The tectonic plates shifted earlier, and the tsunami is now hitting in full force!  Don't let your children be dragged out to sea by this tsunami! Head for higher ground!!!

I recommend that we pray to God and ask Him for godly wisdom in our EDUCATIONAL and MARITAL/FAMILY categories. We must set the right goals for our children and their futures.  We are called and ordered by God to train them up in the way they should go so that they will NEVER depart from it.  This is not as easy as teaching them bible stories on Sunday morning and thinking that they're going to be followers of Christ.

The average American father spends just a few minutes per day with his children.  What a tragedy! Yet, households have been forced into an anti-Christ system of the two parent working model, and a busy lifestyle that feels somewhat like an F5 tornado as parent(s) runs to take care of all the family needs.  Personal TRAINING TIME is what takes a huge hit, and the children are left to be trained by another.

From [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] Recent Studies reveal that over 24 million children in the United States living apart from their biological fathers are two to three times more likely to be poor, abuse drugs and alcohol, experience emotional, health, behavioral and education problems, and engage in criminal activity.

TAKE ACTION!
1.  See what it would take to get your kids home schooled with a good program that would cause colleges and employers to seek out your child far before accepting a "public school" student.  Amazingly, colleges and employers LOVE properly trained home school students, because they have already learned how to learn.  They have been TRAINED how to learn by their instructors "combination of home school mom/dad and the school materials which are the official teachers".  Most kids getting into college have no idea how to learn on their own, or how to listen to a professor talk, yet pull the information that will be on the tests out of the book without being guided by a teacher.  Home schooled kids have a huge advantage in many ways.

2.  Get involved in your children's lives, and send them through the same COMPASS GUIDE program that you've sent yourself through.  No one knows your kids like you do.  At least they shouldn't!  It's your responsibility to know their strengths, their weaknesses, their callings, and their direction.  If you can't lead them in the direction they should go, who else is going to do it?   You MUST get them into a 25 word CORE VISION STATEMENT that is their personal footprint of their heart.  You must train them how to set a goal that propels them forward into their calling, and then how to accomplish that goal.  TRAIN THEM.  You can teach, but you must couple it with "hands on" so that they learn from you, with you, and through you.  This is the training that they will never depart from.

3.  Help your children to head to their personal FIELD OF DREAMS.  What do they love to do? What are they generally called to?  Can you see their strength?  Help get them there.  Get them the best instruction and training for the avenue that they're headed to.  And as far as spiritually, YOU must train them.  God has graced you with the ability, skill, and wisdom.  You may need to tap into Him, His Word, and into prayer, fasting, and intercession to get the goods for this task, but that's God's will for your life.  Your children's future depends on you doing this - so don't be lax! This is a one shot investment into your future.  A good man leaves an inheritance for his children's children.  

4.  Spend quality time with your child.  Get into their business, because theirs is yours.  Get into the habit of telling them about your life, your past, and the things you learned.  Tell them stories!  They will always remember your stories, and how you failed, succeeded, made a stupid decision, etc.  Take them back to your past and walk them through your story so they know you better, and so they have a foundation to walk on when it comes time for them to make the same critical decision.  Whether you made it right or wrong doesn't matter.  What matters is that you impart into them what you have learned, and why.  

5.  Lastly, I want to give a strong warning to FIND OUT WHO THEY ARE HANGING AROUND!  There is a saying that "you are whom you hang around", and that's absolutely true.  You will become your friends, trainers, instructors, and mentors.  If your child is not quite acting like a chip off the old block, you MUST find out who's chip they're becoming like.  They are under your authority. Therefore it's your responsibility to monitor them, their social networks, their friends, their friends parents, their teachers, principle, coaches, neighbor kids, etc. Someone is walking with, talking to, eating with, fellowshipping with your children.  Who is training your child and molding them to think like they are?

The TSUNAMI is dragging a generation out to sea.  COMPASS GUIDE will help you get your children to higher ground.  Yes, you may need to abandon some old friends, some old ways of doing things, and some of the trainers and instructors that are taking your child out to sea.  But it's your responsibility.  Your children are part of your garden, and we have been commanded to make them multiply and increase, while protecting them from the serpent, and keeping them from eating from the wrong fruit while they're growing in the garden.

TRAIN, TRAIN, TRAIN.  It's a huge part of our parental duties before the Lord!  This might not be easy, but it WILL be worth it!  And remember that it's never too late to move on this.  Your children are yours. They are under your authority, and the devil, the state, the school, their teachers - are all subject to you. YOU ARE THE STANDARD that has been lifted up against the tsunami flood of hell.
