Have You Learned The Lessons Of Your Father Yet?

Dan 5:4-6 (NIV) 4 As they drank the wine, they praised the gods of gold and silver, of bronze, iron, wood and stone. 5 Suddenly the fingers of a human hand appeared and wrote on the plaster of the wall, near the lampstand in the royal palace. The king watched the hand as it wrote. 6 His face turned pale and he was so frightened that his knees knocked together and his legs gave way.

King Belshazzar was the son of the great King Nebuchadnezzar who had taken Jerusalem into captivity during his reign.  Because of his great pride, he had lost his throne, and became like a wild animal, eating grass like cows, living off the land with dew on his back in the mornings.  King Nebu never rose from his beastly mentality until he finally humbled himself and acknowledged that God was the ruler of Heaven and the director of men's souls and kings hearts.  Once he humbled himself, he was able to walk upright once again.  But King Nebu's son didn't learn his father's lessons.  He either refused to continue the heritage and walk in humility before God, or he decided that he would experiment with a new sort of kingdom, one that he would rule and make the decisions over.  This is what's happening in nations around the world today.  Men are haughtily taking up kingship ideas and fundamentally changing the way their nations operate.  They have not learned the lessons from their fathers, from history, or from God who has clearly taught the lessons of success, prosperity, and the downfall of prideful ones.

This situation also takes place in families lives, where sons and daughters refuse to walk in the ways of their fathers and mothers.  They refuse sound instruction, and they don't learn from their parent's experiences.  Either the parents didn't share their experiences with them - or they simply refused the stories and haughtily figured that the stories are "old school" and not worthy of them learning anything from them.  But the fact is that God has a heritage and an inheritance to be built among multiple generations.  He wants to bless and increase, expands and multiply the family.  Part of the expansion comes from multi generational increase, from fathers, to sons, to grandsons (and daughters).  But if one of the generations breaks the link of humility and submission before God, the blessing, the family anointing, and calling will fail and be taken.  Any link in the multiple generational increase can destroy the blessing through pride and arrogance.  This is one of the greatest dangers to the long term, multiple generation increase.

King Belshazzar didn't learn the lessons of his father.  He went his own way and served his own gods of gold, silver, bronze, and wood.  And because he refused to listen, learn, and follow, he met his final demise.  He attempted to benefit from God by bringing out the golden goblets from Jerusalem (the nation his father had conquered), and he and his nobles drank wine from Gods goblets while praising the gods of gold and silver.  That was the end, and God came down and wrote on his wall in front of all of his nobles, 1,000 in all.

Daniel the kingdom man was the only one in Babylon who knew God and His prophetic ways.  He was brought before king Belshazzar to interpret the inscription on the wall.  It wasn't a good interpretation for the king, but a stern rebuke and judgment which declared that his kingdom would be taken from him and divided among his enemies, because he refused to learn from his father.

I believe that we are in danger of losing everything to our enemies in this day and age.  America, for instance has lost her way, forgotten her fore fathers, and has desired to be like other nations which are so much less than America already is.  The leaders of America have forgotten the God of America, and have turned to false gods, yet they continue to drink from the cup/goblet which God gave, which made America great.  This will end in tragedy for America, who more than likely will NOT turn from her pride and arrogance (I hope she does, but I plan as if she is not going to turn).  

On the family level, there are many children who have left their father's way of life and instruction.  They have considered the god of their forefathers unacceptable to their generation, and have pridefully decided to forget their father's lessons, experiences, and their parent's God.  They will not get very far, because their kingdom will be divided among their enemies due to their pride and arrogance.

This is serious stuff, and every father and mother should have a holy fear in them concerning their children continuing forward "IN CHRIST" rather than departing and taking another path.  What is a parent to do?  The only remedy that i know is:

Prov 22:6 (NIV)6 Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.

Read carefully because I speak with ALL GRAVITY in this matter.  Taking our children to church on Sunday is NOT training them in the way they should go.  Handing them over to our godless, federal, nanny educators is not training them in the way they should go, but "THEY" are training them in the way they will go.  Handing your children over to good, quality, Christian school which are filled with worldly idiologues is not training them in the way they should go.

i·de·o·logue/ˈīdēəˌlôg/ Noun: An adherent of an ideology, esp. one who is uncompromising and dogmatic: "a Nazi ideologue".

Parenting children in the way they should go requires TRAINING.  This means "hands on" "do as I do", "walk with me", "learn from me", "listen to me" living with your children.  They MUST become you if they are going to stay on course.  If they don't spend more time with you than with their friends, the world's ideologues, and the devil himself, then you are going to lose your multi generational blessing of increase as your children depart from "the way".

The COMPASS GUIDE program will take you through the process of MULTI GENERATIONAL INCREASE which brings your children and grand children into the plan, the calling, and the program that God has set for you and for them.  Most people on planet earth will NEVER find out about this truth, or will never discipline themselves to love their children enough to TRAIN THEM UP IN THE WAY THEY SHOULD GO.

A few quick statements for today's thought:
1.  Make sure that your children know your God, His dealings in your life, and how He has humbled you and brought you gloriously into His Kingdom. You are thankful and would have it no other way.
2.  Make sure that you spend time with your children in daily bible study, daily prayer, and teach them "THROUGH TRAINING" how to live for Jesus, to look to Him first in all situations, and to submit to His will as individuals and as a famly.
3.  Do NOT allow the world's ideologues to have ONE SECOND of your children's time or attention.  They will corrupt your children and it will be very hard to cleanse them from the world's pride and arrogance.  You will not remain in control of your multi-generational inheritance and increase.
4.  Only those who TRAIN their children in "THE WAY" will see their children carry out the multi-generational expansion of God's call on your family.  If you don't find quality time and priority to arm your children as arrows from your quiver, you will lose them, and you will lose your long term increase.  If your generation secured dimension #1 NEED, the second generation should secure dimension #2 DESIRE, and the third generation should secure dimension #3 DREAM.  

Psalms 127:3 (KJV) 3 Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.

Fruit should develop the same this year as last year when it comes from the same tree.  Make sure that the fruit that God gives to you is developed through proper training.  This is NOT a request from God, but a command.
