2 Kings 15:1-4 (NIV) 1 In the twenty-seventh year of Jeroboam king of Israel, Azariah son of Amaziah king of Judah began to reign. 2 He was sixteen years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem fifty-two years. His mother's name was Jecoliah; she was from Jerusalem. 3 He did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, just as his father Amaziah had done. 4 The high places, however, were not removed; the people continued to offer sacrifices and burn incense there.

There is a general theme that runs through the annals of kings.  "The high places, however, were not removed; the people continued to offer sacrifices and burn incense there." And the trouble that follows these kings includes the word ASSASSINATION!

God has a certain way for people to live and worship, in order to fulfill (fully fill) their purpose on earth in blessing, safety, prosperity, and union with Heaven.  Worship is a CENTRAL theme to life.  God wants His people to worship in the temple, not on the high places.  This is a central theme and key in the kingdom of God.  While there are many issues, I will attempt to cover a couple on my heart today.

When people don't worship in the central Temple of the Lord, they begin the process of disobedience and rebellion.  Our worship activities either start the process of obedience and honor towards our creator, or they start our disobedience and rebellon away from Him.  When these kings would NOT deal with worship in the high places, it only brought trouble, bands of raiders, dishonor in the king's courts, conspiracy to seize power, and assassination of those in authority.  Sowing dishonor towards the KING of kings, will cause a reaping of dishonor upon our own lives.  And it all starts with worship.

God had commanded that all worship and honor be brought to the central Temple of the Lord.  But the people kept doing their own thing, worshipping God in their own way, on the high places.  This was many times called BAAL worship.  They thought they were worshipping Jehovah, but because it was intermingled with their own ideas, themes, ways, and location of worship, Jehovah God considered their worship to be directed towards BAAL.

Today, we must destroy the high places in our own lives and STOP all worship that exists outside of God's command, God's Word, and God's direction for our lives.  Many worship God in "their own special little way".  This will invite trouble and assassination.  We must totally surrender to God and worship Him alone.  Come down off of the high places and stop entertaining ways to worship up in the areas that Jehovah God has dedicated to the false god Baal.

Embracing of homosexuality as a "non sin" is one of the many doctrines of devils that come from the high places.  Others are the embracing of Allah (Baal), Communism, Socialism, and systems of control and slavery that are packaged as "good things".   I saw news reports that some of our main Christian leaders are now believing that Homosexuality is OK, that those who practice homosexuality are going to Heaven, and that homosexuality is not a sin.  I also saw a report that the former pope resigned at 85 because he wanted to come out of the closet as a homosexual.  The Boy Scouts Of America just conceded and changed their core belief system, allowing openly gay boys into the program, in defiance of their previous core values.  These activities are a result of Baal worship, and doing our own thing up in the high places.  If you and I are willing to worship in disobedience to God's Word, then we open ourselves to listen to, and to entertain doctrines of demons.  We are open to deception and misleading.  This is the nature of "high places".  The result will be death, destruction, trouble and assassination by those closest to you who also dishonor God, which they learned to do through watching their "high place worship" leaders of disobedience.

As our world spins out of control and the famine for Godly leadership grows in the world, many people will continue to run to their high places to worship God in disobedience and deception.  As for you and I, we MUST worship God in His temple and not go to the high places for any form of worship.  We must strike the high places as dedicated to Baal, tear them down in our minds and hearts, and bring all worship into obedience in the Temple.

What, know ye not that YOU are the temple of the Holy Spirit?  We must bring true worship home to the temple and begin to worship God from our hearts!  This is where COMPASS GUIDE comes in.  I can't express to you how important it is to worship God from the heart.  The COMPASS GUIDE program sets you in the fire of God's Word every day, and helps you to develop your CORE VISION STATEMENT.  The core is the heart, and when you develop a vision from the heart, follow and pursue it, you honor and worship God.  Honor returns to you because you brought your worship to the central Temple of worship. You value what He values, and through the principle of filter and focus, you destroy the high places of worship that most people hang out in.  These are spiritual concepts, but they are clearly defined as biblical patterns in life.

Tear down the high places in your life by filtering out all of the non essential, non important things from your life that are taking, stealing, and disrupting your identity and purpose in Christ.  When you honor God by tearing them down, He will honor you and bring you into your true calling and election with supernatural help and opened doors that only He can open!
