15-Apr Judges 9-10 Hebrews 1-2 Psalms 71-75 Proverbs 15

Judges 9:1-5 (NIV)1 Abimelech son of Jerub-Baal went to his mother's brothers in Shechem and said to them and to all his mother's clan, 2 "Ask all the citizens of Shechem, 'Which is better for you: to have all seventy of Jerub-Baal's sons rule over you, or just one man?' Remember, I am your flesh and blood." 3 When the brothers repeated all this to the citizens of Shechem, they were inclined to follow Abimelech, for they said, "He is our brother." 4 They gave him seventy shekels of silver from the temple of Baal-Berith, and Abimelech used it to hire reckless adventurers, who became his followers. 5 He went to his father's home in Ophrah and on one stone murdered his seventy brothers, the sons of Jerub-Baal. But Jotham, the youngest son of Jerub-Baal, escaped by hiding.

There's always a STALIN in the crowd. And it is up to God's leaders to stand watch over their land of promise to make sure that STALIN never rises up into power. He is a ruthless, murderous, power hungry ogre who cares nothing about family, blood brothers, covenant, marriage, or loyalty to God, country, or anything else holy.

We see this Abimelech gathered followers to him, and then convinced his 70 brothers to give him leadership over the clan. Not only did they give him leadership, but they gave him money. With that money, he hired their murderous killers who sacrificed them all on a single stone at their father's house. This murderous, trecherous man acted just like Joseph Stalin in Communist Russia. It's worth the time to do a little reading on Stalin. When Lenin (the hope and change leader) dies, Stalin rushed in and killed all of his generals, leaders, politicians, and staff. He exterminated all of them in one day, just as Abimelech did. Will you know when a Stalin is coming on the scene during your day? If the church was functioning correctly, God's leaders could have pointed out and stopped Russia's Stalin (millions dead because of him), Germany's Hitler (millions dead because of him), China's Mao (millions dead because of him), Cuba's Castro (many dead), and so onward as history repeats itself.

History repeats itself because we refuse to learn from it, and therefore are destined to repeat it as we move in the corruptible cycle of humankind and his failed destructive behaviors. I am of the personal belief that we are currently in the world cycle (in many nations including America) of LENIN. Lenin gained Russian popularity with a message of "Hope and Change" and then in his second campaign, "Forward", textbook examples of Obama's political agenda. Lenin promised alot of hope that he didn't deliver on. The people grew weary and really wanted change. Then in the day of crisis, as Lenin passed away, the people were so hopelessly worn out that they gave Stalin the reigns. He promised that if they gave him unlimited authority, that he would make all their problems go away. That's exactly what he did. And their problems were political opponents, gun owners, those who believed in freedom, and those who stood for the old freedoms of the Russian motherland. He made them go away by murdering them, and creating decades of oppressive control that changed the Russian world forever. They have never recovered from this horrible leader and his oppressive destruction.

History reveals that we are living in the days of LENIN. If you fear what Lenin can bring upon you, look towards the future and imagine what a STALIN will bring upon you. Lenin is the warning signal for anyone with eyes to see and ears to hear. But Stalin is the HAMMER and SICKLE. This is a hard, cold reality in history, and in our historical cycle in America and around the world as Lenin spirited leaders are seizing power and making promises they have no plans of fulfilling. They are making the way for the HAMMER. Can you see it? If not, then you simply must go back and take a class on history, and then re-look at the present through the knowledge you have gained.

Amazingly, many spiritual and church leaders are absolutely silent on this issue regarding man's downward cyclical pattern into oppressive government. This is to be expected because the church was silent in Lenin's day, they were silent in Hitler's day (and actually put him into power), and the traditional church leadership has been silent in every oppressive regime movement to sweep the land. Why? Because the prophetic voices and watchmen on the wall are outside of the traditional church. They are the voice crying in the wilderness, and they are calling to a people who are deaf and blind inside their church walls. I am not saying all church walls, but the traditional mainstream churches are absolutely moving in blindness and deafness. It's in days like these that you and I must be willing to listen to the watchmen outside the church walls. Those who are deeply committed to God like John the Baptist who lived the life of a Nazarite, but he wore goat skins and ate wild honey. He didn't fit into the normal crowd, but he spoke the truth. Samson was outside the normal mainstream group, but God anointed him to beat God's enemies back single handed.

May I remind you follower of Christ, leader, ambassador of the kingdom of light, that you and I are called by God to be watchmen on the walls.  If we see danger coming, whether or not we are accepted, heard, seen, or appreciated, it's our duty before God to announce, warn, shout, and blow the trumpet to give the clarion call to the people.  What they do with it is between them and God.  But we must be watchful and pray, and give the warning when danger is seen.
