04/01 Reading - Thoughts & Comments
1-Apr Joshua 3-4 Colossians 1-2 Psalms 1-5 Proverbs 1
Josh 3:2-5 (NIV) 2 After three days the officers went throughout the camp, 3 giving orders to the people: "When you see the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, and the priests, who are Levites, carrying it, you are to move out from your positions and follow it. 4 Then you will know which way to go, since you have never been this way before. But keep a distance of about a thousand yards between you and the ark; do not go near it." 5 Joshua told the people, "Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things among you."
We are all confronted with the questions, "Where are you going with your life? What does God want you to do, and where does He want you to be in 20 years?" Yet many of us will never know the answers to the questions, and will therefore stay in the RAT RACE, spinning in circles, living aimlessly throughout our entire lives. We will pass away and take God's dream unfulfilled into the grave. What a tragedy!
If those statements horrify you as they do me, then it's time for us to find the answers to those questions. For the Israelites, the ark of God's presence was about to pass in front of them. They were commanded to FOLLOW THE ARK. Then and only then would they know which way to go, since they had never been this way before.
We must individually follow the ark. Where is it going and how do we follow it?
COMPASS GUIDE will help you to locate the ark and then to follow it. The ark of God is inside of your heart. It's filled with the hopes, dreams, and promises that God has created you for. It speaks through your heart's desires and dreams. It connects to your feelings, emotions, and the movements of your soul. It really is the plan and pathway of God for your life. Inside of your inner man is the life of God. We can call it the garden of Eden. We can call it the ark of the covenant. We can call it Jesus, King of kings. We can call it the the person of Holy Spirit.
If you haven't done a 25 word core vision statement, you simply MUST start here. This statement comes out of the depths of your heart if done correctly. It will identify the ark of God in you. From the point that you see it, you will have a real and living ark to follow. As it moves, you can move. When it stops, you will stop. It's no different than the Israelite experience. Without an ark to follow, I can guarantee that a person will never step into their third dimension land of promise.
