21-Apr Ruth 1-2 Hebrews 13 Psalms 101-105 Proverbs 21

Ruth 1:7-9 (NIV)7 With her two daughters-in-law she left the place where she had been living and set out on the road that would take them back to the land of Judah. 8 Then Naomi said to her two daughters-in-law, "Go back, each of you, to your mother's home. May the Lord show kindness to you, as you have shown to your dead and to me. 9 May the Lord grant that each of you will find rest in the home of another husband."

Sometimes horrible game changers happen like in Namoi's situation.  This lady lost her husband, and the both of her sons died as well.  This left her with two daughter in laws and no real income to take care of the house.  What a tragedy.  Naomi began looking for the open door to adapt to the change.  She decided to move back to her home in Judah. She kissed her two daughters in law and told them to go back to their home towns and to find another husband. One daughter named Orpah went back home.  But the other daughter named Ruth swore to stay with her until she died.  Orpah was never heard of again. But the story of Ruth unfolds as her decision became a planted seed that would cause her to be ushered directly into a future of blessing and abundance.

Tragedies are a reality in life.  Rain falls on the righteous and unrighteous.  And though we live by faith and trust in Psalm 91 protection, sometimes tragic "game changers" come into our lives which can altar our future forever.  Death, divorce, disappearance, abandonment, being fired from your job, business loss, loss of your fortune, these are just some of the things that can be game changers for you, just as they were for Naomi, Orpah and Ruth.  The decisions we make after these game changers will propel us into a new realm of success, or we will fizzle out and disappear off of the map because we "went back to our old way", as Orpah did.

The scriptures are clear that God works and turns all things around for the good to those that love Him and are called to His purposes.

Romans 8:28 (KJV) And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

This calls for a sincere trust in God, and some serious patience to let things work their way out onto the earth the way God is directing them.

The tragic event that caused Naomi to have to move was a set up to bring her and Ruth into greatness. The forced move would also put Ruth at the right place at the right time to exalt her and restore her from the loss of her husband, while also restoring Naomi from her great losses.

Have you had a tragic event in your life recently? Have faith in God. Stay on track.  Patience! Give God time to work in your favor, and to bring to the surface what He has hidden for you.  He will work ALL THINGS for good because you love Him and are called to His purposes!

Have you had a tragic incident in your life a long time ago?  Look back on it and see how it turned you to head in a different direction, and how God worked great good out of that horrible event.  I personally can look at my past tragedies and can honestly, without hesitation, thank God who turned my course and blessed me with a more abundant life than I could have had on my own.  That tragedy was literally a turning point that delivered me into greater blessing.  Though it was painful, it was worth it!

One thing that is very important is to be walking in the 10% club and be a COMPASS GUIDE student.  When tragedy strikes or a game changer comes into your life, you simply MUST have a compass that guides you through the tough times, the winds, waves, and storms of life.  The COMPASS will keep you on course.  You WILL come out of the storm. You will get past the pain, and you shall overcome and triumph. But without a compass to keep direction during the stormy periods of life, you could get blown off course and could lose alot of time, purpose, and help that God wants to give.

WIthout a vision, the people perish.  Vision is direction.  Vision keeps you pointed into a sure and absolute future.  Without this vision, storms could blow you off course by hundreds of miles.  You could end up in wrong relationships, wrong cities, wrong jobs, and under wrong influences.  But with a compass to guide you (vision), you can navigate in fog, hurricanes, and anything else that life throws at you.  Your course and the end goal is set and cannot be moved.  You will arrive. You just need to get through the storm first.  A COMPASS GUIDE student will actually find that the storm propels them into their future rather than dragging them off course.  Get the COMPASS GUIDE book today at www.doctordanieldaves.com .   sunny sunny  sunny
