5-Apr Joshua 11-12 1 Thess. 5 Psalms 21-25 Proverbs 5

Josh 11:12-15 (NIV) 12 Joshua took all these royal cities and their kings and put them to the sword. He totally destroyed them, as Moses the servant of the Lord had commanded. 13 Yet Israel did not burn any of the cities built on their mounds--except Hazor, which Joshua burned. 14 The Israelites carried off for themselves all the plunder and livestock of these cities, but all the people they put to the sword until they completely destroyed them, not sparing anyone that breathed. 15 As the Lord commanded his servant Moses, so Moses commanded Joshua, and Joshua did it; he left nothing undone of all that the Lord commanded Moses.

When it comes to the Lord's commands and the destruction of giants/enemies that stand between you and your land of promise, Joshua shows us that we must be ruthless against these enemies.  No mercy is to be given in war, and your enemies must be completely annihilated.  

Eph 6:12 (KJV) 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Today, our battle is not against human beings or physical armies.  We are walking in a Heavenly authority and therefore our battle is against spiritual wickedness.  If we are successful in the dimension of the Spirit, then we will see a simple change in the natural dimension.  Control the spirit and you control the natural.  Seize and destroy spiritual principalities and entire people groups will see the light, come out of blindness and deafness, poverty, sin, slaver, and shame.  

You may have heard, "Love the sinner, but hate the sin".  This is true, and our hatred for sin must translate into the spiritual dimension where we are merciless, kingdom warriors of faith, utilizing the sword of the Spirit, the Word of God, to advance and seize the kingdom by force.  We must not cut deals, make covenants, or ease up on spiritual wickedness, principalities, rulers of dark places.  We must completely invade, attack, bring light, and destroy their habitations.  

Do we know spiritual warfare and how to successfully execute spiritual wickedness in high places, so that the natural world will open up into the freedom and liberty that God has promised?  Most people don't understand spiritual warfare and success.
