Hosea 9:7-9 (NIV) 7 The days of punishment are coming, the days of reckoning are at hand. Let Israel know this. Because your sins are so many and your hostility so great, the prophet is considered a fool, the inspired man a maniac. 8 The prophet, along with my God, is the watchman over Ephraim, yet snares await him on all his paths, and hostility in the house of his God. 9 They have sunk deep into corruption, as in the days of Gibeah. God will remember their wickedness and punish them for their sins.

Continuing from yesterday's subject, we know that men either connect their world to Heaven and create an environment like the garden of Eden, or they disconnect, the land mourns, and everything in their care wastes away.

Today, Hosea shows the deep divide and darkness that overtakes those who are hell bent on disconnecting from God and doing things their own way.  The scriptures say that the prophet is considered a fool, hostility becomes great, and people begin to set snares for God's people who watch over the land.  In other words, in a land of disconnect, right becomes wrong, wrong becomes right, the fool becomes wise and the wise become fools.  Up is down, down is up, and evil becomes good, good becomes evil.

If you're a "Pirates of the Caribbean" fan, then this scene called UP IS DOWN might interest you.  The ship and it's crew were trapped in an old world with no wind, no blessing, and no hope.  But the map gave them a clue on how to turn their world right side up again.  It's funny, has great effects, and it tells a story of how to right the wrong, turn your world around, and come back to the blessing of God.  The clip is here on Youtube:  

The fact is that un-renewed, un-regenerated mankind lives under the curse of an old world.  He is disconnected from reality and eternity, and is locked into a third dimensional, wasting away world of death, demoralization, and destruction.  Only in Christ can the connection be made again, and our world turned back right side up.  Everything man does is backwards, upside down in thinking, sinful, and missing the true mark of the high calling of God.  But IN CHRIST, we can make the connection!

Today we live in a world gone mad?  Well, the world has actually been mad from the fall of Adam.  And today we are simply seeing the fruits of the fallen man, the demoralization of a once Christian society, and the Hosea cycle repeating itself once again.  The wise are fools, the wicked are righteous, the prophets are snared, and violence runs wild in the streets.  As the Pirates of the Caribbean, the wind has left the sails of our nation's ships, we are parched, dry, and in great need of a new world.  It's interesting that the old world boys are offering a NEW WORLD ORDER, and they will thrust this grand opportunity upon the people of the world at the right time.  But this is not the true NEW WORLD ORDER that God offers.  His new order will bring in a reign of righteousness, peace, and fresh wind in the sails.  But we have to turn this ship around.  Not only around, but upside down, as Captain Jack Sparrow did in the movie clip.

I have found through my years with Christ, that everything that happens is cyclical.  It happens over and over.  Just like our heart beats over and over, our wake and sleep patterns happen over and over, so mankind goes through cyclical patterns over and over.  When you are in Adam, your patterns are upside down, backwards, and end in sin/death.  But when you are in Christ, your patterns are right side up, connected to the God of Heaven, and the light that shines on your path brings an ever fresh wind in your sails.  Your cycles end in life everlasting.

It's time for all men to come to an end of their old world, and stop calling evil good and good evil.  It's time to reconnect EVERYTHING under our authority and care to the Kingdom of God and to His eternal wisdom and timeless principles/laws.  Creating the garden of Eden around everything under our care will cause fresh wind, supernatural abundance, and peace in the house.
