19-Jan Genesis 37-38, Mark 9-10, Psalms 91-95, Proverbs 19

Gen 37:4-8 (NIV) 4 When his brothers saw that their father loved him more than any of them, they hated him and could not speak a kind word to him. 5 Joseph had a dream, and when he told it to his brothers, they hated him all the more. 6 He said to them, "Listen to this dream I had: 7 We were binding sheaves of grain out in the field when suddenly my sheaf rose and stood upright, while your sheaves gathered around mine and bowed down to it." 8 His brothers said to him, "Do you intend to reign over us? Will you actually rule us?" And they hated him all the more because of his dream and what he had said.

Jacob loved Joseph more than the other brothers because he was born during Jacob's old age.  I couldn't find for sure if Joseph was born AFTER Jacob/Israel's blessing by God.  Regardless, Joseph was living under the new covenant that Jacob/Israel was walking in, and he was the first born of Jacob's second wife (not Rachel who was a thief of her father's idols).  Joseph walked in a different mentality and attitude. And he was a dreamer, which made him different from the other sons.  They hated him and always thought the worst of Joseph.  And Joseph did some things that he probably should not have, such as telling his brothers about his dreams.  They were furious over his dreams and actually did what they could to stop them from happening.

It's important that you be careful whom you share your dreams with.  If God has put something in your heart, and if you are writing it down as a point of goal setting or your core vision statement, be very careful who you share this valuable information with.  Your enemies will hate you because of it.  And anyone in your family or friend base who doesn't have a clue who they are, or what God has called them to, will hate you and try to derail you from your dreams and visions.  Be careful!  Your dreams, core vision statement, and goals are HOLY before God.  They are not to be shared among the idiots, hirelings, or enemies of the cross.

Matt 7:6 (NIV)6 "Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and then turn and tear you to pieces.

Joseph's own brothers couldn't handle his dreams and what God was showing him.  They also couldn't handle the favor of God and father Israel upon Joseph.  It drove them to do some very terrible things.  Your friends, brothers, family, and co-workers could also be driven to do terrible things if you are too open lipped about what God has called you to be and do.  The old saying is true, "Loose Lips Sink Ships!"

As a member of the Revelation 12 army of God, you have the unique ability to move in stealth mode, and to operate undetected among your enemies. This is part of the Psalms 91 protection as well. But when you start sharing Heaven's light, wisdom from beyond the planet, and when you open up your heart to a darkened world of non believers, thieves, snakes, dogs, and swine (mentality ill people without the Spirit of God), you will come out of stealth walk, and will subject yourself to unnecessary ridicule.

Be careful whom you share your vision statement and goals with!
