29-Aug Isaiah 1-2, Hebrews 3-4, Psalms 1-5, Proverbs 29

Proverbs 29:7 (NIV)  The righteous care about justice for the poor, but the wicked have no such concern.

One of the core tenants of a kingdom believer is caring for the poor, and seeking justice for them.

We are all born into the shoes, families and nations that God put us in.  And it is our responsibility to co-operate with God to work ourselves to His dream for our lives from those various starting points.  Some are born into wealth. Some are born in total poverty.  Either way we have a loving God who will lead us up and out if we are willing to take the steps of faith that He puts before us.

One thing that God demands on the earth are righteous kingdom people who will take up the cause of the poor and defend the weak and needy in the earth.  The poor have huge steps of faith to take. They need a hand, just like you would need a hand to climb a 7 foot tall step. A strong hand reaching down would be ensuring for you to put all your energy into that next climb.  And the poor are all around us.  Jesus said that we would always have the poor with us. Why? So our righteousness can shine like the noon day sun and we can help them up. Part of our life's plan must include helping the poor up out of their poverty. And their poverty is not necessarily our poverty. Theirs could be financial, mental, physical, educational, vocational, marital/family, etc.

As we all have a stairway in life to climb. A stair rail is necessary. You can be that rail of support. The righteous live their lives to be a rail of support to many around them. This is part of their goals and dreams in response to the Word of God which commands it.

Oh, this life is not about me getting to my goals and dreams. It's about me helping others to get to their goals and dreams.  This must be one of the goals of the righteous, to defend the justice of the poor, the weak, the widow and the orphan.  As we seek justice for the poor, we should help them up just as we were helped up by Jesus. We should forgive as we were forgiven. We should give just as it was given to us. This is true kingdom justice, and what the righteous walk in every day.

Consider today who you have around you who is honestly poor, who need a hand to get up higher. Make plans to always walk in this type of righteousness, and you will always succeed.

Proverbs 28:27 (NIV)  He who gives to the poor will lack nothing, but he who closes his eyes to them receives many curses.

May the righteous ones arise in the earth today! This righteousness will cause your dreams to become a reality in the earth.  king king king
