22-May 1 Kings 3-4, Matthew 13-14, Psalms 106-110, Proverbs 22

1 Kings 4:29-34 (NIV) 29  God gave Solomon wisdom and very great insight, and a breadth of understanding as measureless as the sand on the seashore. 30  Solomon's wisdom was greater than the wisdom of all the men of the East, and greater than all the wisdom of Egypt. 31  He was wiser than any other man, including Ethan the Ezrahite--wiser than Heman, Calcol and Darda, the sons of Mahol. And his fame spread to all the surrounding nations. 32  He spoke three thousand proverbs and his songs numbered a thousand and five. 33  He described plant life, from the cedar of Lebanon to the hyssop that grows out of walls. He also taught about animals and birds, reptiles and fish. 34  Men of all nations came to listen to Solomon's wisdom, sent by all the kings of the world, who had heard of his wisdom.

Solomon pleased the Lord and was most interested in justice and taking care of the people.  When God gave him a Genie in a bottle" styled visitation, He offered Solomon one wish.  It was not wasted on riches, power, authority, but Solomon begged for wisdom to rule the people as God would want him to.  God was so happy with this answer that he gave him wisdom that no man could counter. He became the great teacher of men from all kingdoms, and he ruled with justice because of his wisdom.  God also gave him riches like no other king had ever had before.

I believe that we can learn a huge lesson in this story for our own lives.  Rather than seeking riches, authority, or strength over our enemies, we should be choosing wisdom FIRST.  As I read Psalms and Proverbs, I have learned alot about sister wisdom. She is willing to share all she knows if you will honor and respect her.  Pointing your energy, honor, and desire towards wisdom will help you set the entire house in order!  And you will also find that your riches and finances will come as a result as well.

Deuteronomy 8:18 (KJV) 18  But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.

Why fight and struggle to GET for yourself, what only God can give?  But if we please Him by searching for wisdom, he will give us power to get wealth, and wealth to get power.  But it all comes from God as a gift to those who are interested in administering justice first.

When we walk out our COMPASS GUIDE goals and objectives every day, make sure to ask God for wisdom and knowledge before asking him for money or power.  Make the pursuit of wisdom and the administration of God's justice the top priority in your life and everything else will be supercharged with Heaven's knowledge, wisdom, and resources!
