7-Oct Jeremiah 13-14, Matthew 19-20, Psalms 46-50, Proverbs 7

Proverbs 7:21-23 (NIV) With persuasive words she led him astray; she seduced him with her smooth talk.
All at once he followed her like an ox going to the slaughter, like a deer stepping into a noose till an arrow pierces his liver, like a bird darting into a snare, little knowing it will cost him his life.

Whether man or woman, we all have the capacity to be tempted by the adultress. Whether this adultress is a sexual predator, a mindset or a false belief system, the adultress spirit is put in place to entice you to embrace it, and then it will thrust a knife into your liver and kill you.

Proverbs 7:26-27 (NIV) Many are the victims she has brought down; her slain are a mighty throng. Her house is a highway to the grave, leading down to the chambers of death.

This spirit has brought down many victims, a mighty throng. This spirit takes a person down to the chambers of death. If this is true, then should we not learn ALOT about this spirit and how it entices us for the kill? Proverbs 7 is dedicated to this spirit, and to preserving our lives from her. Imagine, God gave 3% of the book of wisdom to dealing with this spirit of enticement and death.

Proverbs 7:24-25 (NIV) Now then, my sons, listen to me; pay attention to what I say. Do not let your heart turn to her ways or stray into her paths.

#1. Listen and pay attention to authority.
#2. Do not let your heart turn to her ways and do not stray into her paths. Steer clear of her!

Proverbs 7:1-5 (NIV) My son, keep my words and store up my commands within you. Keep my commands and you will live; guard my teachings as the apple of your eye. Bind them on your fingers; write them on the tablet of your heart. Say to wisdom, "You are my sister," and call understanding your kinsman; they will keep you from the adulteress, from the wayward wife with her seductive words.

#3. Keep God's words and commands within you.
#4. Guard God's teachings as the apple of your eye - dead center focused in every area of life.
#5. Bind the teachings to your fingers and make them central to everything your hands touch!
#6. Write the teachings on the tablet of your heart, making them central to everything your heart, faith, desires and plans for the future are about.
#7. Consider WISDOM and UNDERSTANDING your sister and family. Honor them. Pay dearly for them. Submit to them. Listen to them. Keep them close 24/7, and they will keep you from the adultress spirit.

Proverbs 7:7-8 (NIV) I saw among the simple, I noticed among the young men, a youth who lacked judgment. He was going down the street near her corner, walking along in the direction of her house

#8. Do not be simple, and if you are a simple person, do not remain simple. Do not lack in judgment by not having the great words and teachings of the great judge in your heart.

These problems of simplicity and lack are a result of not enacting #1 - #7 strategies.

Proverbs 1:22-33 (NIV) "How long will you simple ones love your simple ways? How long will mockers delight in mockery and fools hate knowledge? If you had responded to my rebuke, I would have poured out my heart to you and made my thoughts known to you. But since you rejected me when I called and no one gave heed when I stretched out my hand, since you ignored all my advice and would not accept my rebuke, I in turn will laugh at your disaster; I will mock when calamity overtakes you-- when calamity overtakes you like a storm, when disaster sweeps over you like a whirlwind, when distress and trouble overwhelm you. "Then they will call to me but I will not answer; they will look for me but will not find me. Since they hated knowledge and did not choose to fear the LORD, since they would not accept my advice and spurned my rebuke, they will eat the fruit of their ways and be filled with the fruit of their schemes. For the waywardness of the simple will kill them, and the complacency of fools will destroy them; but whoever listens to me will live in safety and be at ease, without fear of harm."

Staying away from the adultrous woman's path and house is critical to kingdom success. This goes way beyond natural sexual sin, which is also a dagger into the liver for your future. But the adultrous can entice anyone who does not build the 8 protective commands of the kingdom. This spirit can destroy your family, friendships, finances and future. This spirit can sneak in to your belief system, your perception of truth, your religion and even your viewpoints of your Heavenly Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. She can cause you to fall in love with the world which is emnity against God. She will manipulate your simple ways and lack of honor and respect for sister wisdom and brother understanding.

Quickly! Develop your 8 step plan of protection. One of the best strategies is to stay deeply entrenched in the Word of God. Read daily. Allow the Word to permeate and change you. Write the Word of God in your heart. Memorize scripture and say it aloud. Fill yourself with the Word and you will live safely, far from the path of the adultress spirit. king king king
