21-Aug Ecclesiastes 5-6, 1 Tim. 1-2, Psalms 111-115, Proverbs 21

Ecclesiastes 5:19-20 (NIV) 19 Moreover, when God gives any man wealth and possessions, and enables him to enjoy them, to accept his lot and be happy in his work--this is a gift of God. 20 He seldom reflects on the days of his life, because God keeps him occupied with gladness of heart.

In today's reading of Ecclesiastes, Solomon the great wealthy king discusses alot about finances and wealth. He gives important details about how a man might get wealth but not be able to enjoy it. And a man who gets wealth has a very powerful pressure to protect it. There is alot of worry and pressure that comes with acquiring and holding on to wealth.

IF IF IF a man can get some wealth and God allows that man to really enjoy it, then that man is a very blessed person. But you see that Solomon connects his work directly to enjoying his wealth. It's a man's work that fills his time, directs his energy, and gives him fulfillment so he can enjoy what God has given him. This is a huge key to success in the kingdom of God.

You and I can do alot of things with our hands. We can work alot of jobs. But what job does God want you to have? That's the key question. Did you know that in the USA, over 90% of Americans are misplaced and out of sync with their jobs? They hate their jobs, they are forced to do their jobs, and there are all kinds of checks and balances to keep them focused on their jobs. Why? Because they don't love their jobs and they are only there to produce what's required to get a pay check for survival. This is level one, phase 1 poverty mentality. Imagine living 40 hours per week of your life, having to clock in and out to prove you were there. You are monitored with cameras, computer tracking software, phone recording software or even vehicle tracking GPS systems. You are watched, monitored, and inspected all the way from employer to government inspection departments while you are doing your job. Why? Because you don't love what you are doing.

The man who loves his work, who has found his dream in life, and who is happy at his job, is like a breath of fresh air and a cool drink of fresh spring water. That man or woman will accelerate to the top because he doesn't have to be monitored. He says in his heart, "Can you believe that they let me come every day and do this job? If they didn't pay me, I'd still find a way to do it. This is the most awesome place in the world to be, and I love it!". That man will clock in 5 minutes early and leave as late as possible. He will gladly give up breaks and lunches to get the project done. He thinks about his job when he is away from it, and ideas come to him to help his employers to do the job better. Sometimes he will work his way out of his own job because he finds a better way to do it, and he's not afraid to share it with his employers. This man or woman will be highly favored, rewarded, and will rise as a shining star among slave-lings and impoverished people who are only there because, "It's a job".

I believe that the key to enjoying any wealth that you have, is to find your groove, your niche, your place in life that no one else can fill. Find where God wants you and what He created you for. Get into line with Him, and get into divine timing with Him. When you do this, you will become so happy, fulfilled, and prosperous that wealth will actually begin to find you. It will draw and attract to you like metal to a magnet. Why? Because you will have proven that you can handle the wealth and enjoy it. It has less possibility of destroying you, because you are happy in your work.
