12/24 Reading - Thoughts & Comments DX3
24-Dec Zechariah 9-10, Ephesians 5-6, Psalms 136-140, Proverbs 24
Zech 9:9-12 (NIV) 9 Rejoice greatly, O Daughter of Zion! Shout, Daughter of Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and having salvation, gentle and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey. 10 I will take away the chariots from Ephraim and the war-horses from Jerusalem, and the battle bow will be broken. He will proclaim peace to the nations. His rule will extend from sea to sea and from the River to the ends of the earth. 11 As for you, because of the blood of my covenant with you, I will free your prisoners from the waterless pit. 12 Return to your fortress, O prisoners of hope; even now I announce that I will restore twice as much to you.
On this eve before Christmas celebration around the world, Zechariah tells us to REJOICE for our king comes to us! This prophecy would ring true in the future when Jesus would be born in a manger, brought to earth through God's quiet, divine plan. He would be born as a baby, and the heavens would declare his birth with a sign in the sky. Maji would follow the star in order to worship the promised child spoken of in prophecy. Later, Herod would attempt to kill the child by aborting all of the young sons of that land. But Jesus would be far from that area on the day of disaster.
After the fireworks had finished, God's Son was growing as a small boy on planet earth, and Herod had diabolically killed all of the young boys of the region, silence fell over the land once again and the people went back to their normal "old covenant" behaviors. Yet the seed of God, the Son of God, the promise of God would grow until it was TIME. At around 30 years old, Jesus would emerge into his public ministry and would shake the foundations of the world!
Our COMPASS GUIDE works every day with this principle in mind. God puts His seed of promise into our hearts. He puts us on the earth with promise, hope, a certain destiny, and a ministry that may evolve in business, a job, public service, in a church function, and in family leadership. COMPASS GUIDE helps us to identify the divine seed, and to plan a way for that seed to grow and function on the earth through godly goal setting!
When God drops a promise into the earth, it comes as a seed. That seed has everything it needs to grow and get it's roots started. But God needs a gardener to tend, protect, water, and maintain the seed. That gardener is YOU.
There are alot of fireworks and excitement when we wake up to God's plan for our lives. When the initial 25 word CORE PURPOSE STATEMENT is solidified on paper, we rejoice and feel really good about it! It's like we are reading our own heart on paper when we see it for the first few times. But then what happens after the fireworks are over??
Now the seed grows, and we as gardeners must be faithful over what God has given us. Joseph and Mary were faithful over the child Jesus (hat's off to them, as He accomplished His target!). We also must be faithful over God's seed in our life. It's very important to Him. We are carrying God's plan, and there's not a backup "PLAN B". Therefore, we must continue forward while the seed grows. It is growing for a "TIME SUCH AS THIS" when it will be revealed publicly.
FILTER AND FOCUS. Keep your attention on the seed and what outcome (how it will COME OUT) of the seed in your future. Go over your 1 and 5 year plans for the seed. Start praying today for the NEW YEAR'S DAY period where we will re-evaluate our plans and set new target goals for the year, in relation to the seed that God has placed in our care!
May God bless you this Christmas season, and may JESUS CHRIST magnify Himself in your lives as KING, LORD, AUTHOR, FINISHER, MAJESTY, FRIEND, & FAITHFUL BROTHER!
