Proverbs 14:4 Where there are no oxen, the manger is empty, but from the strength of an ox come abundant harvests.
Workers, partners, associates, volunteers, employees, friends and family. When you are building a vision, you need strength and support. The ox is a prime example of a faithful worker who helps the farmer from seed time to harvest. And we all need to become oxen to help others. We also need oxen to help us when it's time to build, plant, and grow. Without the oxen, the barns will be empty and there will be no harvest in your hands.
*Did Noah and his sons build that massive ark on their own, with no helpers, no one to bring the massive trees down from the forests, and no one to hew out the logs, creating that massive ark? No they didn't. They had a massive team who helped.
*Did Jesus prepare the fulfillment of the New Covenant alone? Did he not find 12 disciples and hundreds of other followers whom He taught, trained, and worked with in preparation for a great global transition? Yes He did.
Many leaders, builders, and visionaries are short of oxen because of different reasons. I have personally had this problem throughout my lifetime. Only the Word of God has instructed me out of pride, trusting my own strength, going it alone with the lone ranger spirit, having little faith in others to accomplish important tasks, and fear of leading, correcting, honoring, and building people who come alongside me to work.
The fact is that we are called by God to build something great. And there is no way to build without helpers, partners, and oxen to help shoulder the load. You may have heard that your vision can't be from God if it's too small, and you can do it on your own? That's probably true. Why? Because God is a team builder. He is a workforce manager. He is a family man who multiplies our strength in numbers. One can put 1,000 to flight, two can put 10,000, and a 3 cord strand is not easily broken.
Consider abandoning your "one only" and "me alone" stand. While it may seem a more safe way to go, it will not fill your barns with the harvest that God desires and demands. Remember that He has given you a number of talents. Your requirement is to bring those talents back to Him multiplied. This will require a team of oxen.
Reconsider your current status, and what your vision would look like if you brought on a team of oxen to help shoulder the load of this great vision God has given you. Where are they? How do you bring them in? How do you manage them and bless them while they work? Remember, even the oxen deserve grain at the end of plowing your row for you.
God will show you the way. Plan to 100 X your harvest and vision through the power of oxen.
