Once again we find that the king (Artaxerxes) uses political and legal force to cause governors and politicians to help Israel to build their temple. The punishment for refusal was death, banishment, imprisonment, or confiscation of property.  This was a SERIOUS turning of the tide, and the political winds shifted towards God and His temple being rebuilt by His people.

Did you know that God will cause the political winds to shift in your favor IF IF IF you are ready to build His kingdom?  He will issue decrees that will force politicians to help you, even if they don't like you or agree with you.

Ask yourself this question.  What would you need to be doing to help the people, help the community, or help your county, city, state or nation - which your government offices would be willing to get involved?  What program or services are needed in your community that governments and politicians will help with?

The next question to ask, which is a hard one for many to honestly ask, is:  What is my church doing to help my community?  What am I doing personally, as a family, as a community leader, or as a business person to help my community out of it's despair, hurt, poverty, hunger, imprisonment, etc.?  Am I wasting time or expending finances and energy by going to a dead church service, supporting a dead or antiquated group?  Is it possible that you are funding and energizing an old wineskin rather than the new wineskin move of God for your future?

After 33 years of ministry, the only way I know of staying in the "NEW WINESKIN" movement, is to focus in on your 25 word Core Vision Statement and read God's Word every day for inspiration, revelation, insight and direction from Heaven.  When you are moving in a fresh, new wine, river flow, anointing of God, there is no chance that you will get stuck in an old wineskin experience.  So many people are funding and working in an old wineskin which God cannot, nor will not fill with Heaven's movement. 

Every believer, church, organization, ministry, and outreach group MUST take a look at what we are doing and we must ask the hard question of ourselves:  Are we performing kingdom functions that God will back up in this time?  Are we operating as  salt and light in the earth, in such a way that men NEED the services that God is providing through us?  Or have we boxed ourselves into an old wineskin church, ministry, family which has no use in the community?
One great man of God in South Africa says, "If your church was pulled out of the community today, would your community know that it has left tomorrow?"  OUCH!  If this man's church left the community, the entire community would fold and die.  His ministry is reaching and supporting the prisoner, the drug and alcohol addict, those who need counseling, orphans, HIV victims, business people, feeding programs, and more.  Oh, and by the way - they have church services on Sunday to celebrate all of the activities that they are seeing God perform through the week.
