Josiah's Reformation Of Judah & Jerusalem:

2 Chron 34:3-7 (NIV)3 In the eighth year of his reign, while he was still young, he began to seek the God of his father David. In his twelfth year he began to purge Judah and Jerusalem of high places, Asherah poles, carved idols and cast images. 4 Under his direction the altars of the Baals were torn down; he cut to pieces the incense altars that were above them, and smashed the Asherah poles, the idols and the images. These he broke to pieces and scattered over the graves of those who had sacrificed to them. 5 He burned the bones of the priests on their altars, and so he purged Judah and Jerusalem. 6 In the towns of Manasseh, Ephraim and Simeon, as far as Naphtali, and in the ruins around them, 7 he tore down the altars and the Asherah poles and crushed the idols to powder and cut to pieces all the incense altars throughout Israel. Then he went back to Jerusalem.

Falling away from God is SOOOOOO expensive. When a nation falls away and turns to serve other gods, those other things require the money, time, and efforts of the people which would normally be dedicated to God, to live, freedom, and blessing others who are in need. But once a person or a nation turns away, they begin a SELF-ISH, SELF CENTERED, SELF SERVING lifestyle. God's priorities stop and man's priorities start. The blessings and benefits of giving stop, and "takers" arise to take all they can get. Light is suppressed and darkness begins to reign. Of course, nothing grows in darkness, or at night time.

God sends revolutionaries, rebuilders, and clean up crews during the failures of mankind's selfish periods in life. These men and women are full of God's heart and purpose, and they begin the process of cleaning up everything that mankind has destroyed and screwed up. All of the energy, finances, efforts, creativity, and teamwork that it took to build the false idols, asherah poles, high places, false temples, incense altars, and everything that it took to maintain them - these things MUST be destroyed and ground into powder. What a stinking WASTE of human life and energy, which ends up producing nothing but heart ache, tears, lost income, and lost productivity.

If you look around today, much of what has been built in our nations MUST be torn down. False images, illicit laws, and criminal activity must all be dismantled and destroyed. This will require a Godly team of people with strong morals, ethics, and love for life. Not IF, but WHEN they are given the reigns of the fallen nations, they will begin the process of destroying everything that wicked, fallen, sinful man has built. They will grind the illicit laws into powder, and they will destroy the old ideas, concepts, and failed principles that fallen man is trying to make work "outside of God's will". Once the nations are cleansed of their wicked failures and false ideas of worship, then the repair and reconstruction of God's temple can take place. And I'm not talking about the church building on the street corner or the temple in Jerusalem. I'm talking about the living temples of God who are being held captive to do the devil's will during times of darkness.

God wants you to be a HOUSE CLEANER and a BUILDER of His Kingdom. Before a nation can be cleansed and rebuilt, this process must take place inside the hearts of the believers. We MUST destroy the areas of false worship and places that are sucking our God given time, focus, attention, finances, and strength.

Sit down today and ask God to begin to cleanse all eight territories of your life rather than just your spirit man. Read the Word of God every day along with us, and allow the Word of God to speak into and cleanse some of the lesser understood parts of our life like SOCIAL, MENTAL, EDUCATIONAL, FINANCIAL, MARITAL/FAMILY, and VOCATIONAL. He will raise up each of these areas and bless them, making you completely whole and free in Christ! king
