10/02 Daily Reading & Comments By Dr. Daniel Daves

Post by Admin on Sat Sep 22, 2018 6:06 pm

2-Oct Jeremiah 3-4, Matthew 9-10, Psalms 21-25, Proverbs 2

Proverbs 2:1-5 (NIV)1 My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you, 2 turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding, 3 and if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, 4 and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, 5 then you will understand the fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of God.

FAT people will inherit the land and find the hidden secrets of God. F.A.T. Faithful, Available, Teachable.

*Accepting the words of God requires humility and a teachable spirit. The antithesis is pride.
*Storing up God's commands within you requires faithfulness and daily discipline. The antithesis is a "ho hum, whatever" mentality.
*Turning your ear to wisdom requires tenacity and an aggressive attitude to find God's answers to life. The antithesis is laziness and the simple lifestyle.
*Applying your heart to understanding requires you to activate by faith what you are learning from the Spirit of God. The antithesis is inaction, faithlessness and an "ever learning but never acting" lifestyle.
*Searching for God's hidden wisdom like digging for silver and gold requires blood, sweat and tears, hard work and special equipment to get down deep. The antithesis is just scratching the surface and becoming content with what you can find on top. Kind of like the Lion King - eating grub worms instead of what he was created to eat.

These kingdom lifestyle attributes will cause you to find the knowledge of God. You will find HIM, and know what He knows. Can you only imagine what He knows, and what He wants you to come find out? Let's dig in.

One of the best ways to dig in is to commit to reading the Bible every day. This Compass Guide forum has a daily devotion for every day of the year, and also has a scripture reading for you. Register and sign in here daily, and read what you can to fill yourself up with His Word. Press in and you will find the knowledge of God. This knowledge will help you in life choices and decisions, and it will bless you with benefits untold!

Let's all get F.A.T. together!! king king king

Tomorrow's Reading:
3-Oct Jeremiah 5-6, Matthew 11-12, Psalms 26-30, Proverbs 3
