2 Samuel 24:2-3 (NIV) 2  So the king said to Joab and the army commanders with him, "Go throughout the tribes of Israel from Dan to Beersheba and enroll the fighting men, so that I may know how many there are." 3  But Joab replied to the king, "May the LORD your God multiply the troops a hundred times over, and may the eyes of my lord the king see it. But why does my lord the king want to do such a thing?"

King David makes a critical error which is going to cost Israel a very heavy price. Indeed, the nation will suffer the loss of 70,000 people because of the king's error.  Leadership decisions really DO affect people who are under them.

David got the idea that he needed to count the fighting men in Israel.  This is a normal, western thought and any of us would normally and naturally want to know how many soldiers we have at our disposal. However, this is NOT how the Kingdom of God operates!  God grant us the ability to walk in the supernatural, and not depend on the natural.  

King David had mighty warriors at his side who had stories of killing, 300 - 800 Philistines all by themselves, or taking out a huge Egyptian giant with only a club.  Ferocious lions were no match to David's mighty men, and great fear came upon enemies whenever they encountered these few wild warriors.

When King David wanted to count the soldiers, his lead general warned him, "May the Lord multiply the troops 100 times over!"  The general knew and trusted that God would take the strength of his men and multiply it by 100 times in battle.  This is the "ZONE" of the Kingdom of God that we rarely walk in.  Our minds always want to count the troops, count the money, and count our ability to make things happen.  Rarely do we leave room for the miraculous and trust God to multiply our strength by 100.

Leviticus 26:7-9 (KJV) 7  And ye shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall before you by the sword. 8  And five of you shall chase an hundred, and an hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight: and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword. 9  For I will have respect unto you, and make you fruitful, and multiply you, and establish my covenant with you.

Deuteronomy 32:30-31 (NIV) 30  How could one man chase a thousand, or two put ten thousand to flight, unless their Rock had sold them, unless the LORD had given them up? 31  For their rock is not like our Rock, as even our enemies concede.

God's promises go well beyond our ability and our imagination.  I want to challenge you to grasp the theme of God's Kingdom, and by faith - apply it to your life, your family, your finances, your ministry, and your gifts.  Trust God to multiply you 100 times beyond your own natural strength!  The Kingdom of God is all about multiplication, and we need His Kingdom to multiply our gardens, as required under the Genesis command (Eden).

Matthew 19:29 (NIV)  29  And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or fields for my sake will receive a hundred times as much and will inherit eternal life.

Today, the best way I know to enter into the multiplied 100 blessing is to LEAVE something that God wants you to let go of.  God told Abram to leave his country, his people, and his father's household.  God deals with men everywhere concerning things that we hold on to.  You may need to let go of houses, brothers, sisters, father or mother, children, or fields for the sake of Jesus Christ.  But if you do, you will receive 100 times as much.  The 100 fold blessing will come upon you as you enter the Kingdom of God!

COMPASS GUIDE students, make sure that you apply this principle by faith to everything you are doing, and to every plan you have set in front of you.  God wants to blow your mind with supernatural open doors and manifest inheritance that goes far beyond anything you could ever imagine!

Ephesians 3:20-21 (NIV) 20  Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, 21  to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.
