04/13 Reading - Thoughts & Comments

Post by Admin on Sat Apr 27, 2013 11:16 am

13-Apr Judges 5-6 Titus 1-2 Psalms 61-65 Proverbs 13

Judges 6:12-16 (NIV) 12 When the angel of the Lord appeared to Gideon, he said, "The Lord is with you, mighty warrior." 13 "But sir," Gideon replied, "if the Lord is with us, why has all this happened to us? Where are all his wonders that our fathers told us about when they said, 'Did not the Lord bring us up out of Egypt?' But now the Lord has abandoned us and put us into the hand of Midian." 14 The Lord turned to him and said, "Go in the strength you have and save Israel out of Midian's hand. Am I not sending you?" 15 "But Lord, " Gideon asked, "how can I save Israel? My clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my family." 16 The Lord answered, "I will be with you, and you will strike down all the Midianites together."

God handed rebellious Israel over to the Midianites because they turned away from the Lord again and again. This time, the Midianites oppressed the Israelites and every year they would raid their lands. Israel was defenseless as these raiders came like swarms of locusts on camels. They took everything from the crops, sheep, cattle, goats and anything of value. They would strip the Israelites bare and leave them to start over each year before returning to do the same. The Isrealites were so oppressed that they hid and lived in caves. Young Gideon even broke the Midianite laws and was threshing some wheat secretly in a wine press so his family would have some bread to eat. Times were bad, and Israel was heavily taxed to the point of hunger and mass poverty. When the Israelites cried out to the Lord, He sent a prophet who told them that they had forsaken God again, and this was the reason they were being plundered.

NOTE: This is on it's way in America and around the world. Nations have forsaken the Lord and His way, rule of law, and belief in individual freedoms. Therefore, Midianite level bands of raiders are coming like locusts to impoverish and strip the wealth off of the masses. They will be ruthless, and they will leave nothing behind. You will see massive taxes imposed, hyper inflation of the world fiatcurrencies, Obamacare and socialized "everything" for Americans, reduced work hours, and massive impositions on your freedoms, liberties, and ability to grind out your grain. I recommend that you visit and immediately start your BUILD AN ARK strategy. Also, our April 2013 GIANT TRACKER MONTHLY REPORT deals exclusively with BUILD AN ARK ideas based on the patterns of the Noah's Ark story. . Building an ark of safety will be critical if you want to hide and protect your finances and assets from the coming Midianite spirited government raiding forces. They will be merciless and will enact laws against you to confiscate your retirement plan, your house, your savings, and anything you currently own personally. Socialism and Communism on steroids is on the march and you are their target. I don't say this to instill fear in you, but to activate you to stay two steps ahead of them, and get on the move now. Time is short.

God comes to Gideon, the youngest in his household, and the weakest among the tribes of Israel. No one is looking at Gideon or even in his general direction for leadership and salvation to come from him. No doubt, the enemy nations have the Isrealite leaders pegged, and they keep their eyes on their movements so they don't rise up and try to fight against the Midianites. But they are not looking at where God is going to bring salvation. This is how God works. He sent Moses right into Pharaoh's castle while Pharaoh was killing Israelite babies. He sent Jesus in Bethlehem when the world was looking for a king in a place of stature. He is now calling Gideon out of obscurity, and God overlooks his natural position, his natural strength, and his natural age. God could care less about those things, but He loves to use obscure and weak things to confound the wise and mighty. Think about little David against giant Goliath while tall, good looking, American idol, King Saul sat in his tent scared to deal with the threat against Israel.

Undoubtedly, we can all identify with little insignificant Gideon. He found it hard to believe that God was sending him to deliver Israel from the hands of Midian because of all these natural obstacles and problems in Gideon's life. Yet God didn't care about those things.

Think about all the things that are nullifying you from being a great leader. You might as well list them on paper, because Gideon did. And you might as well tell them to God, because Gideon did. Go ahead. Then hear God's answer. He said, "The Lord is with you, mighty warrior. Go in the strength you have and save Israel out of Midian's hand. Am I not sending you?" I will be with you, and you will strike down all the Midianites together."

COMPASS GUIDE points to your heart and pulls out the strengths, qualities, desires and dreams that God has placed inside of you. These are the pieces of the great puzzle that you must focus on and connect in order to find out what God is calling you to. Whatever He is calling you to, He is sending you in power, considering you as a mighty warrior, and promising to be with you as you do amazing things with your life. But you must focus on the promise, look at the end goal, and start your walk of faith with this end goal in mind, 24/7.

I hope that the next Gideon who is going to crush the tax collectors and the Midianite thieves of world governments - is reading this post today. More than likely he/she will be living in an insignificant location, in an insignificant family, and may be living in abject poverty. If that's you, you may be the next national or international leader against armed bands of raiders, to completely destroy their governing and raiding powers, and to turn the people of the world back to serving God and His Son Jesus! For the rest of us, God is calling us as He did Gideon to conquer giants, threats, and enemies of the truth who hold God's people in bondage. Our calling is large, but our God is up to the task!
