02/24 Reading - Thoughts & Comments DX3

Post by Admin on Sun Feb 24, 2013 8:21 am

24-Feb Leviticus 23-24 Acts 19-20 Psalms 121-125 Proverbs 24

Lev 23:4-5 (NIV)4 "'These are the Lord's appointed feasts, the sacred assemblies you are to proclaim at their appointed times: 5 The Lord's Passover begins at twilight on the fourteenth day of the first month.

Ex 12:1-3 (NIV)1 The Lord said to Moses and Aaron in Egypt, 2 "This month is to be for you the first month, the first month of your year. 3 Tell the whole community of Israel that on the tenth day of this month each man is to take a lamb for his family, one for each household.

Leviticus 23 reminds us that when the Lord sets the date, it's set and you can count on it.  And His calendar trumps man's calendar!  Back in Exodus 12, God shattered the Egyptian calendar and told the former Israelite slaves that the old Egyptian calendar was null and void.  He told them that the feast of passover would become Israel's first month of their calendar year.  In other words, He used the greatest event in their history to mark a brand new calendar and a brand new year for them.  God's PASSOVER when He killed the first born of Egypt became the landmark event that changed Israel's calendar forever.

Can you imagine God coming to you in March and telling you that this is now December?  We would say, "Huh? How did that happen and why did that happen?"  It might take a great act of faith to move March to December, unless something significant happened to change March to December.  The fact is that when you became born again, God changed your calendar.  He took you off of your Roman calendar (2013 A.D.) and He put you on a brand new, Heavenly time clock.  Jesus is the passover lamb, and when passover hit Israel, it became the first month of their year.  So when Jesus came into your life, you took on a new calendar as well.  Your born again experience and the death/burial/resurrection of Jesus became your first month.  Follow with me.....

God's calendar is not our calendar, though we have many temptations to follow our natural calendar. The world follows the Roman calendar that tells them when winter is coming, or when Halloween is drawing near.  It even tells us when to celebrate the birth of Jesus, although the Roman calendar missed His birth by almost 3 months when celebrating in December.  Jesus was born during the Feast of Trumpets in September, and Christmas is really the old pagan holiday of tree worship.

The point is that your calendar is not their calendar.  God considers you a Heavenly citizen and therefore you are subject to Heaven's calendar, not the earth's Roman calendar system.  Here's a few things to consider if your life is subject to Heaven's calendar:
1.  What is your birthday?  Roman calendar says first birth, but Heaven says your second birth.
2.  According to Heaven's calendar, when should you retire?  Retiring means to quit your job so you can do what you love to do. But living your Core Purpose Statement means that you could never quit because you love doing what you do and will never retire.  Retirement is based on missing the high calling of God for your life.
3.  According to Heaven's calendar, what is the typical life span of a believer?  Jesus said that if you believe in Him that you would NEVER die.  So how long are you planning on living?
4.  According to Heaven's calendar, this is the season of harvest.  While it might be Spring time in Rome, it's harvest time in Heaven.
5.  In Heaven's calendar, when God calls you to die to something, it must be Spring time. Unless a kernel of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it abides alone.  But if it dies, it will produce a crop some 30, 60, or 100 times what was sown.
6.  Whenever the world says it's time to do something, it's more than likely NOT Heaven's time to do it.

God's calendar is completely different from earth's calendar.  This is why FAITH is required for believers.  God tells us to do things based on His calendar.  Right in the middle of a famine and drought, God told Isaac to sow his seed into a field.

Gen 26:12-14 (KJV) 12 Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the Lord blessed him. 13 And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great: 14 For he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him.

People ask, "How do I get ahead?  How do I sow when no one else is sowing, and reap a harvest when no one else is reaping?" You must be willing to hear from God and obey Him, walk in His calendar, and be willing to put up with ridicule from Roman calendar worldlings who will NEVER understand God's calendar.

COMPASS GUIDE teaches you how to develop short, medium, and long term goals that are based on God's calendar, not man's.  Rome will not determine your destiny, God will.  Therefore, since we are citizens of Heaven, let us begin to operate under Heaven's time schedule.  Go back over your goals and see if Heaven isn't prompting you to speed up some of your targets and goals.  It's harvest time in Heaven's calendar.  Therefore, set your goals and plans accordingly!   affraid bom  king
