02/18 Reading - Thoughts & Comments DX3

18-Feb Leviticus 11-12 Acts 7-8 Psalms 91-95 Proverbs 18

Lev 12:3 (NIV)3 On the eighth day the boy is to be circumcised.

In the old testament, God required that all newly born boys be circumcised on the eight day.  This had old testament ramifications, but also type and shadow ramifications that would point to the New Testament and the born again life in Christ.

SHORT NUMBERS LESSON FOR #6, #7, and #8. The number EIGHT is the number of new beginnings or total and complete kingdom restart.  Whenever you see EIGHT showing up in the bible, you can know for sure that God is showing you a principle about rebirth, a new beginning, a restart, or the new life in Christ.

There were 7 days of creation.  God created the heavens, the earth, and man in six days and He rested on the seventh day.  Everything in our third dimension moves in patterns of seven including seven days in the week.  When you get to the end of the week (day 7), and you head into day eight, you have just STARTED AGAIN, STARTED OVER, BEGAN ANEW AND AFRESH.  Day eight is a brand new start.

This principle works in the born again experience.  Man (Adam) was created on the sixth day.  He was earthy and ended up falling.  He is known as the sixth day man.  But the seventh day of rest is Jesus.  The bible declares that Jesus is our day of rest.  He IS the sabbath day.  So while the first adam (six) was fallen, the last adam (seven) is perfect.  He is the day of rest, and when we come to Jesus, we enter into God's final rest.  Seven is a number of perfection, and when we enter into Christ's life, we enter into perfection.

It's an awesome thing to enter into Christ (day seven).  But there is another phase which is called (day eight).  This is a new fresh start.  Leviticus tells us that there will be a circumcision or a cutting away of the flesh on day eight.  Day eight is when the flesh will no longer hinder you or hold you back.  The work of Christ will have fully cut the flesh away and you will have started over, completely free.

I believe that day eight represents the day that you and I enter into Heaven at the end of our lives, lived in our natural bodies.  But I also believe that there is a generation (which may be here at this present time) that will not taste death, but whom will walk into day eight with changed bodies and total freedom from the flesh, it's lusts, desires, and inadequacies.  What a glorious day that will be!

Historically, we are coming into the seventh day from Adam.  We are at the very end of the sixth day (fallen man).  Six thousand years ago, Adam walked the earth.

2 Peter 3:8 (KJV)8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

A day with the Lord is as a thousand years.  So while earth is experiencing the end of a six thousand year period, we are literally entering into the season of the seventh day, a day of perfection, a day of sabbath rest, a day of Christ's MILLENNIAL (one thousand years) reign.  With a one thousand year reign of Christ, we will then stand at the doorway of the eighth day.  This day will cut away and circumcise all flesh and hindrance, and will start a glorious new day for all of mankind.

You and I can live in this new day today. We don't have to wait another thousand years to get into day seven and day eight.  We can walk into it right now.  Just as Enoch walked with God, pleased Him, and God took him away, we can also reach forward and grasp promises that seem to be hanging out in the future.  This is called FAITH.  Faith reaches forward and pulls promises from Heaven into the earth.  Just think what life is like when we fully grasp the cutting away of the flesh, and the circumcising of our hearts to fully live with Christ!  What a glorious day of freedom and liberty that is for God's children.  Reach out, declare and claim day #8 in your life. In Christ and through Christ, your heart is circumcised and you are free!  Can you see it? Can you accept it? It's the plan of God for you and I!   rabbit bounce  king
